🤝 The pledge
10% of every premium subscription is donated to cat rescue charities. It is calculated on gross premium subscription revenue, before payment processing fees — so we absorb the card fees, not the rescues.
We publish what we collected and what we gave away every quarter, on this page. If the numbers below ever look wrong or out of date, please tell us — a promise nobody checks isn't worth much.

MeowScopes is preparing for launch. No MeowScopes donations have been recorded yet. Our pledge is to donate 10% of gross premium subscription revenue to cat rescue charities once subscriptions open.
We would rather say that plainly than imply a donation we have not made. Quarterly reports will begin once subscriptions launch.
Our rescue partner is not confirmed yet. We will name our partner here and in the ledger below before the first donation is made.
🧾 Donation ledger
The ledger is empty. Every donation we make will be listed here with the period it covers, the revenue it was calculated from, the rescue that received it, and the date it was paid. Entries are only ever added — never edited or removed. If we get something wrong we will add a correction and say so.
🔍 How the number is worked out
- At the end of each quarter we total the gross premium subscription revenue Stripe actually collected in that period.
- We take 10% of that gross figure — not of what is left after Stripe's fees, and not of profit.
- We donate it, then publish the revenue figure, the donation, the recipient and the payment date here within a month of the quarter closing.
Free readings, share cards and the weekly newsletter don't generate subscription revenue, so they don't generate a donation — but they don't cost you anything either. Anything we may earn from product links is separate and is not counted in the figures above.
